What Sets Us Apart

Equine

We host a stable of horses at camp year round. From grooming and care, to riding in the national forest, our horses provide a dynamic experience to learn about the animals in their natural element. There is no feeling like riding a horse and connecting further with the natural world.

Wilderness

Our camp has 120 acres of land. Some of this cabins, the dining lodge, and other meeting spaces sit on. The rest is undisturbed wilderness. You will see squirrels, deer, and many different types of birds. See nature in its true form and discover the beauty of the forest.

24/7 On-Call Support

A staff member is always on call ready to assist with any needs that arise. Whether it’s assisting with settling into your cabin,  to setting up a fire for your school. We are happy to help no matter how late in the night, or early in the morning.

Classroom

The outdoor classroom is one of the best ways to experience hands on learning. All our curriculum is aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards. We ensure that your students’ time with us is fruitful and fulfilling in a meaningful way both in practice and on paper.

Privacy

Every cabin is equipped with amenities to maximize comfort. Each cabin has a private shower, private toilet, sink and mirror. We believe it’s important to provide students with the facilities that provide security and privacy. Built in heaters in the cold months keep the cabins toasty, and fans in the warmer months keep the cabins cool.

Food

No more wondering about what you will be eating. We let you select your menu from our popular choices. We pride ourselves on being flexible with the menu to ensure you get exactly what you want! We accommodate all dietary restrictions and are a NUT FREE facility. We work one on one with students that have uncommon allergies so that no student goes hungry.

Recreation

We will keep your students busy throughout the day. The little free time that you may have can be spent in a multitude of ways. On-site we have: volleyball, basketball, tennis, tetherball, multiple dynamic hiking trails, and even a fully developed disc golf course. Students can also opt to spend their time sitting under the trees soaking up all the different sights and sounds the forest has to offer.

5 Minute Emergency Response

Calling 911 for an emergency yields the quickest response time imaginable. Groom Creek Fire Department is a first responder and is a quarter mile away from camp. They are on site within 5 minutes, with an ambulance a short 25 minutes away.

Staff

Friendly. It’s in our name. Our staff members are meticulously selected to ensure you get the best service while you are here. From serving food, facilitating activities, to planning your trip, we instruct our staff to go above an beyond to make your experience the best it can be.
